Easter Sunday 2020 Praia do Pego, Comporta.

Easter Sunday, 2020.

Let me wish you all a beautiful Easter Sunday 2020, and hope that under the current circumstances, you are able to enjoy some extra special time with your family.

Strange times

The world is upside down, many of us are afraid and extremely uncertain of what the future holds.

We are restricted from leaving our homes and been advised not to socialise with friends or colleagues.

Some of us have lost our jobs whilst others see their businesses collapse.

There’s little or no travel and holidays are currently a thing of the past.

Why do we Celebrate Easter?

According to the New Testament, Jesus Christ was crucified on Good Friday and resurrected on Easter Sunday.

Many believe that the name Easter came from Eostara, the goddess of rebirth.

It’s seems quite Prophetic

The world has stopped, it seems almost dead in comparison to how it was.

Although nobody knows the future, there is hope.

Whatever happens, it seems that in the near future the world will reboot or go through a rebirth.

Thank you, Bob.

Thank You Bob, it was a Beautiful Easter Sunday Morning 2020.

Are we to blame?

According to a report released by the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services back in May 2019.

“Humans are having an unprecedented and devastating effect on global biodiversity with about one million animal and plant species now threatened with extinction.”

My Pledge

To reverse the human effect, I will (And do) take into consideration how my actions and deeds affect the world around me.

I will be less selfish and place where possible, the natural world before me.

My actions alone will not be enough to change the world unless you join me.

My Easter Sunday Morning

Although there are restrictions on movement here, I am privileged to reside in what I consider to be paradise.

This morning, Bob and I, (Bob’s my 15-year-old mongrel) took an early stroll on Pego Beach.

The air was fresh, the waves quite gentle and the rising son was slowly but surely pushing away the clouds.

On this beautiful morning, we were, and are very fortunate.

Happy Easter Sunday 2020;

Let us hope that these difficult times pass quickly and that the lessons we have learned, make for a better world.
